In 2025, I worked with Cynthia Packard at Castle Hill Art Center in North Truro, MA, after which I committed to painting from life (live models, still life, plein air) in order to stay present with how I saw my subject and allowing for that to shift and impact the development of the work. So, the act of painting felt more alive. Dance comrades from MAGMA modeled for me offering expressive poses.
